Family-Style Meals

What is family-style meal service?

Family-style meal service is designed for residential programs. Entire meals are delivered on a regular basis, with our chef team creating the menu.

Do you do tastings?

Yes, upon request.

 

Do you have gluten free items available? Can you accommodate people with food allergies?

For family-style meal service, we are able to source meals for special needs. Please notify us of all allergies and special needs. This can require more advanced notice. If we cannot meet the request you will be notified.

Do you offer delivery service?

Yes, iCater delivers family-style meals to customer sites.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes. We are located at 444 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02118.

Are you able to provide invoicing?

Yes. Invoices are sent to customers by the 10th of each month. Payment terms are 30 days.

Corporate Drop-off Catering

Ordering

What is corporate drop-off catering?

Corporate drop-off catering covers one-time events such as meetings and conferences. The customer chooses all items to be served, and can work with our culinary team to customize a menu.

 

Do you do tastings?

Yes, upon request.

What size of events can iCater cover?

We can cater to groups as small as 10 people. We have done boxed lunches for up 1200, and have provided breakfast/lunches and dinner meals for events where over 200 guests have attended. For events with large attendance expectations, it would be best to contact our culinary team to discuss menu and planning.

How much notice do I need to give for a catering order?

We typically can accommodate a request with at least 24 hours notice. However, this is dependent on what is being ordered as well as our delivery availability on the requested date. If there are concerns about our ability to fill an order, we will contact you and discuss potential options.

Can I change my order once it’s been placed?

Yes. Through our ordering software, you can request changes. All changes to existing orders require staff approval.

If I need to cancel my order, how much notice is required?

We require at least 48 hours notice. If there are costs incurred as a result of your cancellation, you will be billed for those costs and not the entire cost of the event.

Food and Presentation

Do you have gluten free items available? Can you accommodate people with food allergies?

We do have some gluten-free items available. Please notify us of all allergies and special needs. This can require more advanced notice. If we cannot meet the request you will be notified.

How are your items packaged, presented, and served?

Cold food items are served in plastic containers and platters. Hot food items are served in foil pans. Hot beverages are sent in boxes.

Are you able to label items so people can easily identify dressings, sandwiches, etc?

Boxed lunches are always labelled. Platters of sandwiches could also be labelled upon request, depending on the size of the order. You can inform our team if you have any special requests or needs.

What is included with my catering order?

Your order will include all the necessary paper products, utensils, serving utensils, tablecloths, and condiments.

Do you provide biodegradable/recyclable plates, silverware, and napkins? Is this an additional charge?

With the exception of the plastic cutlery, everything we use is paper products. This does not come with an additional charge.

Does your company provide set-up for corporate catering?

We are a drop-off catering company. Based on the size of the event and the items being delivered we may work with you on setting up. This needs to be arranged ahead of time.

Delivery

Is there a minimum order that needs to be placed for delivery?

Yes. These vary depending on what is ordered. Please refer to our menu for more information.

What is your delivery policy?

We mainly deliver in and around the Greater Boston area. Further travel is possible for large events.

What is the charge for delivery?

The charge varies based on the zip code of the delivery address and the size of the order.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes. We are located at 444 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02118.

Payment

What payment forms do you accept?

We accept credit cards (AMEX, Visa, & MasterCard), purchase orders, and business or personal checks. We do not accept cash.

Can I set up a corporate account?

Yes. Our sales department will assist you.

Is gratuity included in the price?

No. The only gratuity we accept is the knowledge that our customers were happy with our service.

Do you have any deposit requirements?

On orders over $1,000.00, a 20% deposit of the total estimated invoice is due once the order is confirmed. If the deposit is paid using a business check, we request receipt of the check within one week of booking.
